Perhaps unlike any other school in Tanzania, the UBORA STEM Leadership School will foster innovation and leadership by providing advanced, hands-on education with an emphasis in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, math). The school is being built on 50 acres of land and will initially focus on the skills most needed in key sectors of the emerging economy: agribusiness, mechatronics, and information technology.
All our Primary School graduates will have the opportunity to attend the STEM School, along with some of the brightest students from across Tanzania. The UBORA Sponsorship Project will see the poorest children through this high school education, while those who are able will pay full tuition to support the costs of the school.
Construction has started, and the STEM School (our own boarding school) is projected to open for classes this coming January in time to start the 2026 school year. Our STEM Leadership School will be a BOARDING school (a common practice in Tanzania) with girls and boys dormitories. Before completion of our OWN boarding STEM school, our Primary School graduates have been going to partner boarding schools in neighboring cities, where UBORA social workers touch bases monthly to help prevent their learning and Christian faith from faltering.
